Big Brother Spoilers: The Houseguests Become Heroes (PHOTOS)

On Sunday‘s Big Brother 17 episode, we witnessed Becky Burgess nominate Steve Moses and Shelli Poole. These two players were not Becky’s targets. Her real one was Vanessa Rousso. Becky used them to carefully execute a backdoor plan.

To ensure the success of her plan, she needed someone on her side, or one of the nominees, to win the Power of Veto. Tonight, Becky gets the chance to complete her backdoor dream.

Big Brother 2015: MVP of Week 6-James Takes Back the Power

James Huling made a huge game move in the first week of Big Brother 2015. He evicted Jace Agolli. Usually, in the first few weeks of Big Brother, players play it safe. They go for easy targets. James taking out Jace set the tone for the Big Brother 2015 season.

After the first week ended, James faded into the background. He became more of the comedy relief, instead of a huge player. When Audrey Middleton was evicted, the game player in James started to reemerge.

Big Brother 17: MVP of Week 5-The Evolution of Jackie’s Game

Four weeks ago, the Big Brother 17 fans loved to poke fun of Jackie Ibarra‘s game. They did the whole “who’s Jackie?” skit. They even compared her game to Big Brother 16’s Victoria Rafaeli. Even Big Brother 17 host Julie Chen tried to claim Jackie had no game.

Prior to Jeff Weldon‘s eviction, Jackie laid back and socialize. She let Jeff to do all the work for their, not-so, secret alliance. His eviction seemed to light a fire under her belt.

Big Brother 2015: MVP of Week 4: Queen Shelli?

This week, Shelli Poole became the Head of Household for a second time in Big Brother 17. In the last month, Shelli proved to be a social and mental threat in the Big Brother 2015 game. We are not Shelli’s biggest fans but we cannot deny that her game is one of the strongest ones this season.

Big Brother 17-Shelli Poole

Some of Shelli’s game weaknesses are being too emotional, worrying about her post-Big Brother image, and a belief that her actions are the right ones. Her showmance with Clay Honeycutt also represents one of her biggest game weaknesses.

Big Brother 2015: First Impressions of the Cast Part 2

CBS filled the Big Brother 17 house with a lot of entertaining and smart contestants. Thankfully, this season of Big Brother appears to have one of its strongest batch of female contestants. So we don’t expect a strong male alliance to dominate the Big Brother 2015 house. However, Big Brother 17 does have a lot of potential winners within their male contestants.

Big Brother 17: Steve Moses

We continue our assessment of the Big Brother 17 houseguests by looking at this year’s men. If you missed our assessment of the Big Brother 2015 women, read it here.

Big Brother 17: Men

Austin Matelson

Austin seems like a good strategic player and entertaining one. We predict that he will bring golden moments to the feed watchers, but also really smart game moves. As he notes, Austin’s biggest obstacle will be his size. However, he already cleverly planned for how to tackle this issue: play up his injury to seem like less of a physical threat.

Unless one of the twists severely hinders Austin’s game, we predict that he makes it far in the season.

Clay Honeycutt

How can we not compare Clay to Shane Meaney and Cody Calafiore? Clay fits right into that good looking, sweet, loyal guy category. Clay claims that he is a superfan because he binge watched the last eight seasons. We are a little skeptical about this claim, but it will show when he actually plays the game this summer. Hopefully, Clay finds his ruthlessness and becomes a more compelling player than similar Big Brother houseguests.

Jace Agolli

Jace seems a lot more mature than the typical surfer dude archetype that Big Brother loves to put on the series. He also seems really knowledgable about the show. Jace’s need for extreme situations and competitiveness could become his biggest game downfall.

We hope Jace knows how to stay under the radar and control himself enough to not show his physical strengths too soon. Jace seems very precise and careful with his words, so that could become his Big Brother 17 secret weapon.

James Huling

James seems like a slightly more level headed version of Caleb Reynolds. Overall, he could get easily manipulated, and will rub some people the wrong way with his brutal honesty. However, he seems like a genuine, family guy, which will easily make him likable to many of the Big Brother 17 houseguests. Nevertheless, James also seems like an early evictee candidate.

Jason Roy

Jason’s interview videos were some of the most entertaining ones, which says a lot considering how well the casting department did with casting Big Brother 2015. He will be feed and diary room gold. As a player, Jason seems prime to float until the end. Hopefully he makes a couple big moves on his own to make us root for him as a potential Big Brother 17 winner.

John “Johnny Mac” McGuire

BB17-Johnny Mac

John is definitely going to be a Diary Room screamer. He seems a bit insane, in the best possible way, so we expect him to be one of the more entertaining players. John’s quirks definitely might divide the viewers and the houseguests. We expect some players (and viewers) to absolutely love him, and the other half to absolutely hate him. We doubt people will be neutral to John. He just needs the right people to like him.

As a competitor, we find John hard to read. His strategy (talk to people about teeth) seemed bizarre, but it could actually be effective.

Steve Moses

Steve and Big Brother 14 winner Ian Terry seem like long lost twins. But Steve has a little more composure than Ian. The Ian comparison should actually hurt Steve’s game, because the many Big Brother superfans in the house this season will worry about him winning in the end, just like Ian.

Preseason Players Most Likely to Win: Austin, Jace, Jason, Vanessa, and Da’Vonne,

Honorable Mention: Audrey and Steve.

Audrey answers impressed us but we fear that she overestimates her manipulation skills. During her preseason interviews, her facial gestures and body language said a lot more than her words did.

Steve knows the game and developed a smart strategy, but he reads too much like Ian. The houseguests may let him slide for a few weeks, but a more sly player (like Vanessa) will surely make him a huge target before Big Brother 17 reaches its finals.

Big Brother 2015: First Impressions of the Cast Part 1

Tomorrow Big Brother 17 ‘takes over’ our lives. This season promises loads of twists, which means our excitement levels have reached new heights. We already expected good things from the Big Brother 15 cast, now we expect great things. As we edge closer to the Big Brother 17 premiere nights, we decided to fully dissect the cast.

Big Brother 17: Shelli Poole

We watched Big Brother 11 and 13’s Jeff Schroeder interview the cast, and then we watched Big Brother Network and The Reality Channel‘s interviews to really try to see who might actually want to play the game.

We broke our Big Brother 17 cast assessments into two parts: women and men. Read part one below and check out part two here.

Big Brother 17: Women

Audrey Middleton

Audrey’s interviews shows that she possesses a lot of fascinating insight into how to play Big Brother. Referencing Dexter Morgan proves she has the right cutthroat attitude.

Audrey seems smart, calm and like her main objective would aim at manipulating players to do most of the metaphorical killing. She will probably use other players as a shield until she needs to make big moves herself. We don’t see her backing down from taking out big threats.

Becky Burgess

Becky gave us the impression that she is a really sweet girl. She might even be nurturing and someone the other houseguests come to to talk about their issues. Players might keep her around based on her likability. However, Becky seems prime showmance potential. Showmances rarely help Big Brother players, so we hope Becky keeps that in mind if she wants to stay longer in the game.

Becky also seems like she might be a bit too trusting, which could make her an easy target for manipulation and eventual early eviction.

Da’Vonne Rogers

Da’Vonne stated that she won’t hold her tongue in the Big Brother 17 house. The Big Brother viewers and live feeders will appreciate Da’Vonne’s no nonsense attitude, but the houseguests might not appreciate it. If she causes too many arguments, Da’Vonne will definitely need to charm her way out of danger. We think she can do it.

Liz Nolan

Liz seems like one of the early favorites for first week eviction. She reminds us a lot of Rachel Reilly from Big Brother 12, not 13. Even if you love Rachel now, you must admit Big Brother 12 Rachel was kind of a mess. She was entertaining, but a mess.

We might be underestimating Liz though, because the right alliance or showmance could keep Liz in the game for quite awhile.

Meg Maley

Meg falls right into the quirky girl category. Her personality could make her one of America’s favorites or strongly hated. We don’t see fans being just neutral on Meg.

We hope Meg takes that quirky girl next door, sweetheart stereotype and shatters it with a hammer. We want to see Meg play hard and well, without being obnoxious.

Shelli Poole

Based on the interviews, Shelli seems like a recruited player. Usually, that’s a big weakness in the Big Brother house. Right now we don’t expect much from Shelli, but that might just make her an underdog who surprises everyone to become a great player. We will have to wait and see before we completely write Shelli off as an early evictee this season.

Vanessa Rousso

Vanessa right now seems like the strongest contestant. She plays games professionally, likable, quite knowledgeable about Big Brother, and determined. If Da’Vonne and her are not already playing together as part of a “twist” this season, we think that they could become each other’s downfalls.

Da’Vonne and Vanessa clearly will recognize each other. Therefore, they need to decide whether to align together (to keep their secrets), or out each other, which will likely make them both early targets. We hope they align together. Big Brother 2015 could become more interesting that way.

Big Brother: The 5 Worst Game Moves Thus Far

Success on Big Brother involves impeccable game strategizing and social manipulation. For one contestant to become the victor, many others have to fail, and some have to fail gloriously. In Big Brother‘s sixteen seasons there have been some massive game blunders.
