Today begins an exciting week for Big Brother fans. Expect lots of rumors, scoops, and spoilers as we edge closer to the June 24th and 25th premiere episodes. Tonight, we get our first major scoop of the season: the Big Brother 17 house tour.
On Entertainment Tonight, Big Brother host Julie Chen takes fans through an exclusive tour of the Big Brother 17 house, before the cast moves into it. CBS and Entertainment Tonight did not make fans wait to see the house, because they posted some pictures of it on their site this morning.
Some rooms shown in these pictures are the HOH room, two of the main bedrooms, a look at the backyard, the kitchen, memory wall, and various major lounge spots. Some of the interesting new designs include adding more chairs on the “bridge.” The bridge sits right above a lot of where the main action should take place. We expect people to use the bridge to spy, but it seems like a bad place to strategize because of its openness.
The Big Brother 17 bedrooms offer two really cool designs. One bedroom has a comic book theme, which includes art by Atlanta artist Craig Armstrong. Production designer Scott Storey and ET offered this insight into why they left the comic book pictures faceless: “The reason why there aren’t any people in the panels is simple: The houseguests are the characters.”
Another one of the Big Brother 17 rooms uses rich purples, reds, gray, and white to create a nightclub bedroom. The room also includes some chains as curtains. Storey intentionally made the room more “feminine” and predicted that women would migrate more to it.
Toy guns, Mexican wrestling masks, and a steel wave add some other fun touches to the Big Brother 17 house.
